Looking forward to reading you here.
Dear Alice, this is Marcy. . .good friend of Kelly Kearny, best friend of Jeanne Drake, former Patch blogger with Dance10 from Europe. These are just a few of the “6-degrees away from Alice Lewis” that come to mind this groggy morning. I met you a year and a half ago on August 8th at Jay’s Coffee shop before 8 am. I remember the details because on my 50-something b’day I agreeed to go to a 5:30 am boot camp workout with Kelly at Crab Cove, with the reward of breakfast at Jay’s. There you were, my favorite Alameda writer in the flesh, doing what you always write about doing: reading the paper, drinking coffee and passing out “Good Mornings” to the neighbors. I couldn’t have been more thrilled if I saw Herb Caen at Le Central! Anyway, I’m wishing you all the best in your new venture although I will miss seeing you on the virtual pages of the Patch. Happy New Year! Happy New Site! Marcy
Love you!
